The 2005 Nati Frinj was held on the last weekend of October. It started with workshops such as puppet making and sushi in the preceding months. Anthony Pelchen did some drawing workshops and later exhibited the results.
The Friday night was the Hay and Thespian Mardigras, again very popular with many strange costumes. It finished with a party in the council car park. There were Ian Pidd and Neil Thomas inspired shows in the hall.
The Saturday started with a market but by lunchtime it was raining and the topic for the day was would the show go ahead. The new Frinj publishing venture Skink Press launched its novel The Rope Dancer in the pub.
And despite the rain, Cirque de Silo was a huge success. It was capped off by an all night dance party in the hall.
There were so many events I’m not sure I remember them all. A highlight for me were MoMo in the shed. And I loved Bliss and Fletch’s photos around town. I was personally pleased with The Frame, on the road to the mountain.
The Sunday was glorious with many people on the street taking in the numerous art exhbitions a wandering along the street.
