It is run by the Arapiles Community Theatre.
Arapiles Community Theatre Vision Statement
Arapiles Community Theatre has an auspicious history as an organisation that has supported performing arts within the Natimuk community for many years.
There have been many highly successful musical theatre productions that have resulted in the staging of quality entertainment that has been well supported by the Natimuk populace.
Arapiles Community Theatre has extended its vision within the last two years to support performing arts in a variety of genres as well as arts within other disciplines such as the visual arts and film.
The ACT seeks to
- support local artists in the development of their practice in all areas of the arts
- further develop an appreciation and the role of the arts within the community
- introduce the community to artists and events from non local sources.
This will be achieved by:
- Providing employment for artists through community workshop programs that are led by local artists and supported through the infrastructure of the ACT
- Providing access to funding sources for artists and the community through the ACT as an incorporated organisation
- Running an arts festival that celebrates the diversity of arts practice within the Natimuk Community
- Supporting and initiating artistic performances, events and initiatives within the community.
